Introduction
NHS Innovations South East (NISE)
Every day some body has an idea, either as a better way of doing something in response to a challenging or difficult situation or because of new technological developments in another sector. NHS Innovations South East (NISE) provides a service to NHS staff in the south east to help them convert their idea into reality.

Since its establishment in 2004, NISE has developed productive relationships with both staff and management in NHS organisations. Not only does NISE assist in the process of developing the ideas, but it also supports in gaining recognition for the NHS staff that daily come up with new and creative ways that can benefit patient healthcare as well as generating revenue or cost savings for NHS organizations.
NISE is a Department of Health initiative funded by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement and co-funded by the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) to promote and support the innovation culture within the NHS. It is well positioned to take advantage of the innovative, high technology commercial environment in the south east for the benefits of patients and NHS staff and organisations. NHS Innovations South East is one of nine NHS Innovations Hubs in England providing this service.
